Liberation Ink

Liberation Ink is a non-profit project of Causa Justa :: Just Cause. They sell shirts and other products with the goal of forwarding the mission of Just Cause through the message on the shirts and through the skills training our members receive while working as staff and volunteers for the project. The company was formerly a worker-owned collective which sold thousands of shirts and raised tens of thousands of dollars, which it donated to local movement organizations before becoming part of Causa Justa.

When they approached us, Liberation Ink was planning both a transition to becoming part of Causa Justa and re-developing the backend of their site. Choosing Drupal and Ubercart, they tipped us to help develop the site and Design Action to do the visual design. The challenge was to migrate all of their content to a new eCommerce platform, migrate to a new host and incorporate the updated design all while transitioning to a new organization with new staff.

We worked with both the out-going and incoming staff to launch the new site well in advance of their planned holiday season push and populated it with their new products. We also trained staff how to use the site on a day to day basis and support them throughout the year with updates and new features.
